Lilly is one of the most guilty in the state in IN than anyone. Examples?

I will never take a Lilly drug. Oh wait, I don't have to. They are all generically available. What they do have are me too's and don't work. Diabetes meds suck, 3-5th to the market and nothing in the pipeline. Don't even get me started about Elanco.

I thought outside the box today!! I leveraged National Doctor's Day and got pastries from Panera and dropped them off at my top 10% decile hyper-target accounts. I even wrote cute notes to all the Drs. I couldn't see and wished them happy National Doctors Day!



I know my pod-mates didn't think of it, but just to make sure I texted my DM during the day and left a success story on VM which I am sure he will pass on to the team!!



I was so super excited about my achievements today I even did an extra pharmacy call on the way home!



I know I will be driving market share for Q2 and even build more momentum for the rest of the year. Presidents Club here I come !!!!

Question about the associate sales rep position here. I assume this is a helper rep of sorts who just does fittings and paperwork? If anyone could be so kind to give me an idea of compensation, benefits, 1099/w2, I would appreciate the help.

This deal is not done yet, anything can happen - No it can't because Endo tried that and we went running back to Valeant for more money.



You don't want to be behind the 8 ball (dumbest overused reference of all time) when you are retained and hurt your rank - Not likely since we don't know what territory, products, weighting, samples, targets, etc. that we will have.

How much do you like your company car and would you order it again?

I am over 80,000 miles and I just got my e mail to order a new company car.



My choices are Nissan Altima, Volkswagen Passat, Chevrolet Malibu, and Hyundai Sonata.



In the past I have had an Altima and a Malibu. I enjoyed both cars.



Anyone have an opinion about the Passat or the Sonata?



Obviously I can read the online reviews of each car, but what is your opinion from a reps perspective?



I do drive quite a bit since I have a semi rural territory, so reliability and comfort are two of my key factors since I spend a lot of time in the car.

CR, How could I not be after your awesome email!! Telling everyone how much money everyone else may or may not have made makes me wanna start work early. Heck, I may camp out early in front of me first office. He even realized what a Specialty Rep does.

Of course, no mention of out downsizing. No mention of lying about the lack of territory change. No mention of final rankings.

I would love to see what the explanation as to why they did what they did. Replacing reps with reps from PC or ISF, changing territories and losing relationships while at the same time trying to launch a new product. It makes no sense. Bottom performers? Didn't we jettison those a few months ago (theoretically). How can there still be low performers? They have had much time to prove much to anyone.

As we all prepare to leave the z team- I have over 36k shares of vested stock options -that I need my SCUBA tank to recover - I have to say I am not ready for Vegas. - I am a terrible gambler and the loss hurts.. Almost as if we were cheated in some ways. For some of us here 5 + yrs - and others who sacrificed 1/2 pay and crazy work schedule. -trying to make this work..,

I exit with little to no hope the stock will miraculously go up 400% to break even on my. " stake in the game". I wonder if Rh will lose what he worked for? oh wait yeah- he just sold out the sales team...and most of home office.



RH - we are not Zogenix- we are expendable - as I guess, any sales team is. So sad and ironic to think -.we were this new, different pharm company, that we would joke ..we were building this company - just like - building an airplane while flying it...I was wrong and naive - Zgnx no more valued it's. Sales people then Merck Novartis gsk - RH is selling off pieces of that plane -and we are headed for a crash. ..And I drank the Kool Aid the flight attendant was serving. What I do value from this experience is the great people I met - some extraordinary and very talented sales reps with whom I wish nothing but the best at Pernix & beyond. I am gonna frame my stock option award statement and hang it in my office to remind me .... 36,000 times - to stop believing in companies, products and charismatic people like RH -who really are all the same. ... and put more belief in myself. - my advice to all my soon to be X zogenix team ...you do the same.

Pegasys was a great ride but we knew the end was coming. I must say that Genentech kept their word and kept the sales force to the end. Most of us made moves that we needed to make and those "Left Behind" for the most part were dead weight with a lot of baggage. Not all, a few great people went down with the ship and a decent severance package, and I feel it was a bad area they lived in and couldn't move and a few the company just abandoned. I wish those the best and trust life has a funny way of working out.

To those that were dead weight, read the writing on the wall and realize you need a different and new career. It sounds harsh but it's the truth and management just didn't have a good way of honest reviews for you.

I really enjoyed working with Genentech and wish everyone happiness and health.

I am hearing some serious info that Pfizer is moving to a 100% TBO evaluation for bonus. Several divisions already are there or close to there. Just look at vaccines which is 100% TBO and others such as IS which is majority TBO. Strange the Pfizer is taking on the GSK model which hasn't worked. Anyone else see the same thing for all sales divisions?

This is a gene based company focusing on the state of the art medical future. How on earth do they get away with paying so little when some of your competition pays nearly double with perks? It's baffling. Am I missing something? I was asked to interview and when salary, comm, etc was discussed I was in shock. Currently, I work with a biopharmaceutical company making 160K in base alone which I realize it on the high side but have been there for 4 years was interested in the future of genomic testing.

Last month I interviewed for a non-existent territory. The first thing the mgr said was I was so lucky, so fortunate to be there in a face-to-face interview and we aleady did a background check on you - you came out fine. I called the credit bureaus - not true. BUT we already have well qualified internal candidates who are actually the front runners. WHAT???? Why waste my time? Then I got hauled into another interview with a panel of his reps with attitude and no interview skills. Then....if one of the a plethera of internal candidates get the job at the cancer center woud I want the rural territory? Frankly, NO. I came, prepared and have vast experience for the other academia territory and making more money. Hmm. driving 2 hours to get to my first account - not for me.



HOUSTON - there's a problem.



What is with the arrogance. The base salary was only 130K - for speciality oncology in Texas Med Ctr?? Hope you all got a good 'internal' hire.



I heard I&I was a hell hole but Houston oncology? Surprised. And no promised f/u from HR or mgr. So unprofessional. Glad I only wasted 3 hours and not 3 years there as it appeared none of his tenured reps have ever been promoted.

What's your take on the massive realignment and downsizing to the managed care senior leadership team today? 3 out of 5 of the senior leadership team severed! ST, CR and PB all let go and a hastily called conference call with less than an hours notice given to all the managed care division to announce the layoffs. Those people are shell shocked. 3 of the 5 area directors cut just like that. The Regional Account directors see the writing on the wall with them going down to only 2 Area Directors for the entire country the Regional managed care directors see what is rolling down on them.



This was one of the best kept lay off secrets of my time at Sunovion.



I guess that means we won't be getting any help in getting better formulary status for Aptiom in the near future.

I have multiple clients who currently work for failing companies.



These companies fall into a variety of industries:



High Technology

Pharmaceutical

Telecommunications

Oil and Gas



Each of them have worked for these companies for many years. Do they see the signs that the businesses are failing?



Well…they see it, but it is easier to bury their head in the sand than to admit they really need to get out!



So, what are the signs?





Repetitive Layoffs, RIF, Resource Action, or Redundancy



I have one client who works for a major pharmaceutical company. The building is starting to look like a cemetery—hardly a living being there. When there are more open desks than filled, that is a sure sign that you are working for a failing business.



How many times have I heard, I made it through the last layoff - I am safe!



No, it is not if you get laid off, but when.



This may well be a sign of a failing company!



Circling of the Wagons



This can typically be seen in upper level management, where the old guard circle the wagons and protect their own. One symptom I have been seeing is bright up and coming women being pushed out by older, more established men. You might call this the return of the “good old boy” network.



This usually happens before a major layoff. Upper management starts to maneuver themselves into prime positions before they screw everyone else.



This may well be a sign of a failing company!



Generous Pension Buyout Offers



I’ve had many clients who have been offered lucrative pension buyout offers within the last six months. They are “take it or leave it” offers, with the requirement that they retire. Most of these clients have been at their companies 30+ years, and are not in a position to retire (with children heading off to college, spouse with health issues, other mitigating factors, etc.).



They tell me, “If I can last just five more years…”



But beware—these offers expire quickly and will never be offered again. I tell them, “They want you gone! Figure out how to make it work!”



Reminds me of 1999, when IBM converted my pension to a cash balance plan and then switched it back for everyone who was over forty years of age. Oh yeah, minus a whole bunch of perks—like health insurance. A former boss of mine said:



They took it away and gave it back, they would never do that again.



IBM stopped funding the pension in 2008. I left in 2000 with a lump sum pension payout. Best financial move I ever made!



This may well be a sign of a failing company!

Abilify Maintenna currently has 1.5% marketshare in the LAI marketplace. JNJ has eaten Otsuka's lunch since day one. MD's never believed in Abilify for schizophrenia and they still don't. Once again everyone is clammering to interview for a job in which the company has never commercialized a product, they have piss poor management and marketing not to mention zero ability to track these prescriptions to these specialty pharmacies. Folks this is a feast or phamon job, either get it or get out. All of this while JNJ is bringing their longer acting market leader to market. Good luck, do your research before you decide to jump. Could be the shortest experience of your life for many reasons.

McChicken is changing.



The fast food company McDonald’s announced a new menu sourcing initiative Wednesday for its approximate 14,000 restaurants across the U.S. Only chicken that is free of antibiotics that are used in humans will be allowed in stores.



McDonald’s said it also plans to start offering customers jugs of low-fat white milk and fat-free chocolate milk from cows that have not been treated with the artificial growth hormone rBST.

"Our customers want food that they feel great about eating — all the way from the farm to the restaurant — and these moves take a step toward better delivering on those expectations," McDonald's U.S President Mike Andres said in a news release.



McDonalds said its working closely with farms to ensure all their chicken is free of antibiotics used in human medicine. Farmers, who supply the chains with chicken, will still be allowed to continue using ionophores, a type of antibiotic not used in humans that helps keep chickens healthy.



The Center for Food and Safety, which applauded McDonald’s menu sourcing changes, said antibiotic resistant bacteria has been pegged as one of top five health threats facing the nation.

Last year they announced increased bonus potential and in return received tepid applause because they didn't realize the new potential is still BELOW industry standards. AND, adding insult to injury, it appears they are paying for those bonus increases with a lack of merit pay raises. Just a BS shell game.

Forest rep truthful advice to Allergan

Former legacy Forest here, I was let go after 4 years one trip to P-Club, 200 shares of stock, and Forest severance package. BS is about that $$$. I was able to ear hustle a conversation at last launch He said, "Anybody can be sold."

That being said many of you already know the advice I'm going to give but for those Allergan, Actavis, and new Forest reps here it is.

IF YOU HAVE A FOREST MANAGER!!



1. Kiss you DM's ass, thats how they became a DM.

2. Be first to role play in POA, even if your not good its shows DM's you have potential to kiss ass.

3. Be first to send the team a synopsis last quick click, another form of teachers pet.

4. On ride alongs take DM on a "milk run" only doctors that will sign and let you spew out "Dr. for the next five patients will you write? Dr. will you commit for the next 5 patients?

Many doctors hate that but they know your on a dog and pony show.

4. Be first to send out "Ra, Ra" cheerleading emails, but be careful not to leave messaging.

5. Beware of reps that don't have prior pharma they will be the first ones to snitch on you,

prior to pharma they had a crappy job and will do anything to keep it.

6. 55 or more calls per week. 11 to 12 calls per day 7 to 8 sample calls. Spread your day out they will not complain if you have 49 to 52 by days end Thursday and you make 5 spread out calls on Friday just be sure last signature is at 3:45.

7. Go out on a occasional Saturday if an office is open YUP I SAID IT!! Its another form of kiss ass.

8. Bad weather make 1 to 3 calls close to your house then tell DM weather too bad to continue

They will brag to their fellow DM that they have a good team player.

Thats all I can think of for know.

Zero transparency. For example. Those who are actually getting the tiny bonus tomorrow just now got IC statement.

DSI just cannot understand how stupid their top level decisions look to field level employees.

No 360, most of the above issues have been discussed for years with limited actions.

MOVANTIK is a first-in-class, once-daily, oral, peripherally-acting mu-opioid receptor antagonist (PAMORA) for the treatment of opioid-induced constipation (OIC) in adults with chronic non-cancer pain.



MOVANTIK was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in September 2014. It was descheduled by the US Drug Enforcement Administration in January 2015 and is no longer labelled as a controlled substance. The launch of MOVANTIK in the US is planned for early April 2015.



Under the terms of the agreement, Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. will pay a $200 million up-front fee and subsequent sales-related payments of up to $625 million. AstraZeneca will be responsible for manufacturing, will book all sales and will make sales-related commission payments to Daiichi Sankyo, Inc.
