Orapharma/Valeant Account Manager/ West

The Account Manager is responsible for direct interaction with OraPharma customers. Our direct customers are dentists, periodontists and hygienists who use OraPharma, Inc. products.



The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for quarterly sales goals specific to his/her assigned territory and product portfolio. A territory goal may include both commercial and corporate accounts. As part of the territory management the AM will be expected to develop and execute against a business plan tailored to the market and territory dynamics. As part of the business plan the AM will be responsible for determining the appropriate strategic and tactical approaches to gain access and acceptance for all OraPharma products.



The successful Account Manager will have the ability to create and execute this territory business plan. This plan will include but is not limited to; a territory forecast, appointments calendar (to support forecast), and a routing plan. The business plan will target an appropriate customer mix (top 30, new customers, corporate accounts, etc.) within the territory. The plan will also reflect efforts relating to: product implementation, pricing, promotion, setting protocols and shelf management within each customer.



The AM will implement pre-defined sales and marketing strategies to maintain and increase sales productivity within the territory. The Account Manager will utilize quarterly budgets in support of educational and relationship-building activities at the commercial customer level. As part of the education and promotion of the OraPharma product line, AM’s will host lunch & learns, engage appropriate office staff and attend approved vendor exibits where necessary. The AM will be charged with analysis of spending and plans to maximize the ROI of this spending within their assigned territory. The Account Manager will be responsible for working with customers on leveraging existing insurance availibility around OraPharma products.



The Account Manager will also be responsible for all business support activities. These activities include the regular and timely entry and synchronization of CRM data, expense reports, monthly calendar planning and submission, and all other administrative activities required by their Regional Manager and or the company. The AM will be responsible for maintaining a home office, and will be accountable for resolving any issues that may arise that would impact their ability to meet their administrative obligations.



The AM will also be required to attend business meetings, trade shows and business events. The account manager will be expected to travel within the territory for normal business and outside the territoryfor other business events. This travel may include over night and weekend stays. The AM must also complywith all Federal and State laws in addition to company and corporate policies and procedures.
