The Area Business Manager will be responsible for selling KYTHERA’s products and developing and expanding new accounts. This position represents a unique opportunity to join the KYTHERA Commercial Organization to launch a new product, ATX-101, in the aesthetic space.

Responsibilities:



Roles & Responsibilities



1. Provide technical product and procedure expertise to targeted aesthetic customers within a designated geographic area.

2. Create product acceptance and manage sales and product growth through education, training, and business development opportunities in key accounts.

3. Implement and execute key marketing strategies.

4. Establish and maintain excellent communication and sound working relationships with co-workers and assigned accounts and Healthcare Professionals (HCP’s).

5. Demonstrate honesty and integrity while modeling behaviors consistent with company standards, values and corporate compliance policies.

6. Other duties that may be assigned.



Job Complexity & Discretion

Assigned goals and Management by Objectives (MBOs) will be obtained through training, consultative selling, and product implementation as provided by KYTHERA’s sales and marketing plan. The ABM is expected to manage company field assets and resources, as well as comply with required policies, requests, and reports.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in the aesthetic space or consultative space

• Minimum of 2 years of pharmaceutical or medical sales experience

• Consistent performer with a track record of success



Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years of pharmaceutical or medical sales experience

• Experience selling a facial injectable

• Buy and bill experience

• Product launch experience

• Existing relationships with aesthetic dermatologists and plastic surgeons in the territory

• Excited to work in a small/start-up company setting



Competencies & Skills

• Ability to thrive in a highly driven culture that is performance based, fast paced and results oriented.

• Must have a strong sales disposition, solid business acumen, and excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage excel

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals

• Demonstrated leadership experience

• Ability to travel is required by the specific territory, meetings and trainings

• Should reside within the geographic area of the assigned territory

• Valid Drivers license and in good standing



Working Conditions

Field based position. Regular travel is required within assigned geographic territory. Periodic overnight travel may also required for sales meetings.
