How can good Mormons and Catholics sell Birth Contol Pills?

I worked for a pharma company that manufactured and sold birth control pills. After I hired on I was shocked at the number of Mormons and Catholics who were in management and sales. I happen to be a Protestant. In college I took a course on religion and learned that Mormonism and Catholicism teach that articificial birth control methods violate the will of God. So how can Mormons and Catholics sell birth control pills without living in sin and violating their church doctrines?
