Earnings Call

As a shareholder I was shocked to hear what I did on the Earnings Call. I thought a CEO is supposed to try to unite, motivate and inspire a company. All I heard was excuses. She certainly made it clear that the Santarus legacy employees and inVentiv employees leaving has caused the downfall of sales trends. 40% for Santarus and 35% for inVentiv. It is not very encouraging to hear that if they went through the normal Salix interview process they would not have been hired. Turnover will continue to be a problem until Sr Leadership is turned over! Everyone saw this coming except sr leadership. This company has great products, many great people but as the analyst mentioned on the call...the board of directors should either sell the company or replace the senior leadership with a management team with integrity, capable of protecting assets, building an inclusive, cohesive team instead of one plagued with arrogance. Senior leadership has failed the organization and needs to be replaced for the sake of shareholders and the good employees that are still with Salix! Time for change to make this the great company it can be!
