Worst decision of my life was working as a merck rep. It seemed great at first, making a lot more money than I did as an ICU RN. And it was fun - when it was a real job. The last five years of it were horrible. The complete lack of interest in patients, and the disdain for providers. And managers clearly there only due to being a minority or female- and I am both. But it was clear unqualified people were put ahead of people that inspired and could really lead. SAD.
Best day of my life was going back to an honorable life, making a difference and not living in a world of fakery and lies. So happy I left. And while it used to be great with the bonuses and NMIp etc- thats all gone. I should have left sooner!
