I'm 39. Husband and I have done very - very well over the past 13 years.
House and cars are paid off. Kids colleges are funded with 1.65M in overall net worth. Husband cracks a fantastic W2 as well and we have saved most of what we have earned. What we spent is mostly on convertible real estate holdings. We have no debt.
My current employer is following the trend - comp plan has changed - the end is near.
I have - for over a decade - ate - slept - lived and breathed one company from sun up to sleepless nights.
I'm not going to endure this stress for less than 1/2 of what I was making but I am far from finished at this point.
So with one hand on the exit door - as the plane spins out of control - I ask you this question.
Where would you go and still bring in 175-250K a year without ending up in a mental institution or having my face frozen from Botox because of all the bullshit?
What is your exit plan as companies begin to learn that products don't actually sell themselves? Who is the next big player that is looking for and believes in raw talent and fundamentals? I miss the days when we weren't praying to the PC HR palace. I want to get back in the grind and actually sell not forecast and role play with the new kids.
Having been out of the market for so long - who in this industry wants to hire actual salespeople to become the next big player? Who even has any respect for top 10% players in this industry?
