The blizzard conditions on Quebec’s Gaspe peninsula on Tuesday prove challengingly even for well-equipped police officers. Dan Comeau recorded this video showing the Quebec Provincial Police (Surete du Quebec) digging out their pickup after getting stuck in the drifting snow.
Police had earlier closed several highways in Quebec after heavy snowfall and winds gusting to 50mph reduced visibility to less than 200 metres in some areas, according to CBC News. Credit: YouTube/Dan Comeau
