I am a rep with the PDI contract in the west half of the country. Though I have launched many products, I have never seen the kind of enthusiasm on the part of the customer to support he reps in thier H launch based on thier relationships. Today I joined one of the 5 reps I overlay for an introductory lunch and the office showed as much excitement that they got Prior Auth through for H as the rep did. As I say, I overlay 5 reps, and in all 5 instances I am seeing that the offices are going above an beyond to help get Rxs through because of the dedication and support the Purdue sales team has shown them over the years. H success seems to be partly due to the follow up based on the pharmacy stocking report, then circling back with the offices (from what I'm overhearing). My teams willingness to let me join them/or buy the lunch in key offices, lets me ask the New Rep questions. It also helps to have the tenured Purdue reps with me to help with answers to some of the obstacles that were not covered with due to our shortened training especially regarind Prior Authorization. I personally didn't know how I would like this job, but now I am as caught up as they are in thier launch success and the success of the tenured products as they are. I hope that all of my PDI colleagues are trying to have this same type of supprotive Win-Win relationship with your Purdue team.
