Why I am leaving PP

I joined the Purdue family a couple of years ago after getting laid off from my employer of 8 years. I am grateful for the opportunity to have a paycheck that has helped me provide for my family when things looked grim. Under other circumstances I would not have accepted an offer for less money than a contract sales force would offer, only 2 weeks of vacation, monthly field rides, endless meaningless trackers to keep up with, lengthy and time consuming call notes and no defined personal days. The bonuses have been adequate but this job has been extremely stressful because of the type of meds we have and is unlike any other in the pharma industry yet pays and rewards reps with less than a cough/cold company. I recently was made an offer to join a small pharma company that will allow me to offer my family a better life in terms of money, benefits and a less stress. I am being rewarded for my many successful years in the industry and although I will miss the many friends I have made at PP I feel like the world has been lifted off of my shoulders. I really hope for all those who decide to stay, the new management will address these and other employee concern. My new job does not start for a few weeks so until then I will continue to do my best each and every day that I remain here. I feel I owe at least that much since PP took me in when I needed a job the most.
