A rep in my district was put on a PIP and took a medical leave of absence due to stress related health issues. She is getting 70% of her salary for up to 6 months while she looks for a new job.
I heard of some other reps also taking medical leave to avert a likely layoff and/or termination of the contract. Those laid off will get no severance and 70% of salary beats unemployment compensation. Plus you are technically still employed while you look for another opportunity.
