Unfortunately Forest is like so many companies in this day and age. One that is beholden to the stock holders and do not care about the welfare of the employee. Cary Renner who I consider to be a great leader once said in a DM meeting that give me any product and I will be successful because the success of an organization is founded on the employees that work there. If you look across the landscape of those laid off one only has to look at total compensation and tenure as the reason. In any given geography with few exceptions those who were paid the most with the most tenure were let go. One has to ask why would a company lay off its most tenured and oft the most talented? It has been done many times before by many companies across all industries. The reason is because it immediately raises the bottom line for short term success without looking for long term profitability. In a nut shell a company does this to position themselves to be sold to another company. I would venture a couple of dollars that activis will be sold again in the next year. This not only increases share holders dollars but lines the pockets of board and Senior management. If you are still with this company I would seriously look for another job. It is easier to get another gig when you already have.By all means please flame away.
The future....
